The 7th UMD Symposium on Environmental Justice & Health Disparities (#UMDejsymposium2021) will convene numerous community members, nonprofit organizers, and researchers for an in-depth examination of ongoing environmental justice and health disparity issues affecting the DC-Maryland-Virginia region.
This year's symposium will reprise many of the hallmark topics discussed in previous years (e.g., food sovereignty, climate justice, community organizing, energy equity, law and policy, and others) in addition to new focuses on Gender and Reproductive Justice, Indigenous Human Rights, Health Disparities in the Prison System, and more!
